Description

The Kauai Historical Society presents an evening with Auntie Aletha Ka`ohi as she shares TALES OF THE MENEHUNE. An early 19th century census in Wainiha Valley listed 65 who identified themselves as Menehune. Attributed as a race of small people who labored at night building fishponds, roads, and heist (temples). Kauai Living Treasure and historian Aletha Ka`ohi shares the background of the “Mythical Menehune” for us. Auntie is an engaging speaker who will leave you spellbound with her knowledge and tales.

RSVP at www.kauaihistoricalsociety.org or phone Delia at 808-245-3373 to hold your spot for this wonderful presentation.
