Description
Aloha Ohana –
It’s so wonderful to be home for the holidays, spending some quality time with my ohana.
Of course, I’m also spending some quality time with my finance staff this week, working overtime to hit the aggressive 2011 fundraising goals we set. And to reach them, we need to raise $25,000 from online supporters like you over these final five days of the year.
It’s going to take all of this — and more — to pay the first few months of rent & utilities on our new campaign headquarters, win this primary, and take on Linda Lingle next fall.
Contribute $5 now to help us keep up our grassroots momentum and open campaign offices early next year — before we close the books on 2011!
Last quarter, supporters like you stepped up in a big way to help us reach our goal. Reaching it this time around is even more important.
It’s money we absolutely need to open campaign offices early on in 2012. That will allow us to continue building the kind of grassroots campaign it will take to get through the primary and beat a Republican opponent who plans to raise $10 million to try to buy Hawaii’s Senate seat.
Too much is at stake — Hawaii jobs, our schools, our environment — to let this Senate seat fall into Republican hands. I need your help to make sure that doesn’t happen.
Will you contribute now to help us reach our ambitious $25,000 grassroots fundraising goal by December 31, so we can open up campaign offices early on in 2012?
Your support has been critical to getting our campaign off to a strong start.
We’ve already received early endorsements from the members of influential organizations like EMILY’s List, the Hawaii AFL-CIO, the Association of Professional Flight Attendants, Laborers Local 368, Seafarers, International Longshore and Warehouse Union, Hawaii Governors Employees Association, Council for a Livable World, and the Hawaii Carpenters Union — and new supporters are joining our campaign every day.
Let’s continue that momentum by closing the year out with funding for our grassroots campaign: Please contribute now!
Mahalo,
Mazie Hirono
